Johan de Villiers conducts two Verdi Requiem performances at the Endler. The 95-strong choir consists largely of previous members of the well-known Libertas Choir. The four soloists are the celebrated singers Hlengiwe Makhwanazi, Minette Du Toit-Pearce, Luvo Maranti and Conroy Scott. The orchestra of 50 professional musicians has, as concertmaster Petri Salonen.

KKNK 2019
Die Libertaskoor vier hul 30ste bestaansjaar in 2019. Op 23 en 24 Maart het hul optredes gehad by KKNK. Die program het klassieke en kontemporêre werke ingesluit, asook bekende treffers.

OUR HISTORY
The Libertas Choir was established in April 1989 under the auspices of the Women for South Africa movement. Since 1989, Johan de Villiers has been the conductor and together with his wife, Louwina, as the manager of the choir, the Libertas Choir have performed on world-renowned stages.
OUR CONDUCTOR
Johan de Villiers is an Extraordinary Professor of Mathematics at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and has authored two textbooks in Mathematics. His excellence as entrepreneurial choral conductor has earned him wide recognition in South Africa and abroad.
